Tiroler Hof restaurant is located in the rear part of Schoenbrunn Zoo, just above the wolf enclosure – easily accessible. After dinner, a taxi will take you to the Schoenbrunn Orangery.
The Concert at the Orangery Schoenbrunn
Let the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra take you on a trip into the very heart of the former imperial Vienna. The sound of Mozart and Strauss, marvellous solo singers and ballet dancers, and the unique setting of the Schoenbrunn Orangery will give you a timeout from the modern world. The Orangery – the former palmery of the Habsburg Emperors – is located only a couple of minutes´ walk from Schoenbrunn Palace. And it is the perfect venue to bring out the best of Mozart´s and Strauss´ unique melodies. Knowing perfectly well about the advantages of this magnificent venue, Emperor Joseph II often used the Orangery as a splendid setting for sumptuous festivities. During one of these festivities, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri competed in a musical contest, remarkably staged by Milos Forman in his movie “Amadeus”.
