ArT and CuLtUrE
This is an absolute MUST for everyone who loves the fine arts. Our package offers a genuine “Viennese Melange” – a perfect mixture of visual arts and classical music. A choice of museums stands for the visual arts, Schoenbrunn Orangery stands for the classical music. And culinary pleasures might be added to perfect this mixture even more.

Package 2 – ArT, Dinner & Concert

The Museums – make your choice
What do the Austrian Gallery Belvedere, the House of Music, the Mozart House Vienna and the Albertina have in common? These four museums are (a) among the most popular and most frequented museums in Vienna, (b) centrally located, and (c) part of our ArT&CuLtUrE packages. Which one sounds most interesting? You are free to chose!

In former times, famous general Prince Eugen used to spend his summers in Belvedere Palace. Today, the palace houses the Austrian Gallery Belvedere, home of the largest Klimt collection in the world and numerous masterworks by Schiele and Kokoschka.

Once the Habsburg family´s biggest palace in Vienna, the Albertina now is Vienna´s largest museum and home to the largest and most valuable graphic collection in the world. Ever wanted to see the original of Albrecht Dürer´s Hare or his world-famous Praying Hands? Come to the Albertina! The collection comprises more than a million prints and about 60,000 drawings by graphic superstars like Klimt, Rubens, Schiele, Kokoschka and many others. Unfortunately, it is impossible to show any of the great graphic exhibits permanently but there will always be at least one outstanding exhibition by one of the Great Masters, classical or modern, to make each visit definitely worthwhile.

The newly opened Mozart House Vienna, located in the very heart of the city (Domgasse No. 5), is the only one of Mozart´s residences in Vienna which has been preserved until today – and the only residence he occupied for an extended period of time (for over two years). Take a look at Mozart´s home and catch unusual glimpes of his unusual, unconventional life as an artist.

Ready for a journey into sound? The House of Music is a unique and internationally acclaimed interactive sound museum. Not only does the museum provide an interesting insight into the history and concept of music but gives the visitor the opportunity to experiment with many of the interactive exhibits. Try your hand at conducting Mozart´s “A Little Night Music”. Or playfully compose yor own Viennese waltz with the museum´s Waltz Dice Game. Be creative – at the House of Music!

The Dinner
Who would not like to feel like an emperor or an empress? So why not go ahead and  feel like Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth, enjoying a three-course candlelight dinner at Café-Restaurant Residenz, a restaurant with a long-standing history. It is located in the former kitchen of Schoenbrunn Palace, in the “Ehrenhof”, a court next to the palace´s main entrance. In summer – if  the weather permits – your imperial dinner will be served outside on the restaurant´s comfortable garden terrace.

Starter plate „An evening in Schoenbrunn“: Casserole of smoked salmon and gravad lax, served with dill-mustard sauce
Turkey fillet in a herbal crust with safron white-wine sauce, served with mixed vegetables on a potato nest
Fluffy chocolate mousse

Vegetarian? No problem! Vegetarian menues on request!

The Concert
Let the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra take you on a trip into the very heart of the former imperial Vienna. The sound of Mozart and Strauss, marvellous solo singers and ballet dancers, and the uniqueness of the Schoenbrunn Orangery will give you a timeout from the modern world. Often used as a splendid setting for sumptuous festivities in the days of the Habsburgs, the Orangery – which is part of Schoenbrunn Palace and thus UNESCO world-cultural heritage site – is the perfect venue to bring out the best of Mozart´s and Strauss´ unique melodies. How often do you get the chance to enjoy such brilliant tunes in a truly original venue?

Repertoire Mozart: Repertoire
Repertoire Strauss: Repertoire

Note: In case of private functions in the Schoenbrunn Orangery, Schoenbrunn Palace Concerts will take place in the Grosse Galerie (Great Gallery) or at the Weissgoldzimmer (White-Gold Room) in Schoenbrunn Palace directly or at other concert venues in Vienna.
