Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

is widely considered one of the greatest composers in history. At the same time, he was a very unconventional man, leading a fast and short life. A “pop star” of his time, somehow. Back in the 1980s, Austrian pop artist Falco dedicated his number-one hit song “Rock me Amadeus” to the eccentric cult composer Mozart. Join us and get an idea of what Mozart was really like.
Schoenbrunn Palace was a very special place for whiz kid and eccentric composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In 1762, the Mozart children´s first concert tours took them to Vienna, where the 6-year old Mozart and his elder sister played on the clavichord in the Hall of Mirrors in Schoenbrunn
Palace for Empress Maria Theresa and her family. Mozart´s legendary first performance in Vienna was the talk of the town and laid the foundations for his comet-like rise and the absolute cult status he attained as a composer. A star was born. In Schoenbrunn in Vienna.
Concert Package Meet Mozart
Years later, it was Schoenbrunn again – the Orangery this time (where many of Mozart´s works were premiered) – where Mozart and his constant adversary Antonio Salieri competed in a legendary musical contest, remarkably staged by Milos Forman in his movie “Amadeus”.
